Theory of Knowledge New Teacher Workshop

Hey Everyone,

A few weeks ago I wrote to let you know that enrollment is open for our Theory of Knowledge New Teacher Workshop this July. I wanted to follow up and share a little more about why Sofia and I created this training in the first place.

Over the years, we have both worked with many talented, experienced teachers who were suddenly assigned Theory of Knowledge and told, essentially, you will be great.

And they are great teachers. But TOK is different.

It is conceptual. It is discussion driven.

It sits at the center of the IB Diploma Programme.

And yet very few teachers are ever shown how to structure it, how to pace it, or how to guide students through the Exhibition and the Essay with clarity.

That gap is exactly what this workshop is designed to address.

Across two days on July 23rd and 24th, we will walk step by step through:

• Understanding the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Core, and where Theory of Knowledge truly fits.
• Effectively teaching the TOK Exhibition, including how to help students choose objects, develop commentary, and meet the assessment criteria.
• Effectively teaching the TOK Essay, with a clear breakdown of expectations and practical strategies for supporting strong student writing.
• Heading into the semester with calm by mapping out and pacing your first semester before the year even begins.

This is not theoretical. It is practical. The goal is that you leave July with a plan in hand and the confidence to begin on day one.

In addition to the 8 hours of live instruction, enrollment also includes:

• Access to our private Theory of Knowledge teacher community on WhatsApp so you are not doing this alone. A US $550 value.
• Two follow up Zoom check ins in October and February to answer questions, review student work, and support you as the year unfolds. A US $300 value.
• A New Teacher Resource Pack with planning tools, sample student work, and ready to use classroom materials. A US $295 value.

All told, that is US $1530 worth of value for US $385.
